24 gadu progressTie paši 5 ātrumi (nav mainīta pat visu ātrumu āttiecība) lielāks svars +7-9kg, cena diezgan tuvu CRF 450RL.
Ja būtu atstājuši vismaz oriģinālo svaru 132kg un sešus ātrumus būtu tīri neko zinot, ka mūsdienās šādiem dualsportiem vispār nav nekādu kompromisu parasti tik uztaisa smagu cūku ar kādu ielas motoru un čuguna rāmi un būs labi, jo taču pērk
Kādreiz bija XR400 kurš jau sen ir novecojis, un vienīgais oriģinālais DR-Z400 bija palicis pēdējais savā 400cc klasē, bet pat to jaunu eiropā nevarēja nopirkt jau sen.Vismaz jauns rāmis vecajam nebija laba ģeometrija pēc izjūtām šķita smagāks nekā ir patiesībā beidzot arī Fuel Injection. Izdarījuši ir daudz, bet neielikt sesto ātrumu tā nav maza kļūda it sevišķi pie mazajiem 400cc.
